The Center for Sustainable Building Research collaborated with the Project Uniting Southwest Hmong (PUSH) and partners in Tracy and Walnut Grove to develop a vision for The Southwest Hmong Community Center: Tsev Njeeb on the Prairie.

The project used a design process to develop the vision that would allow their intergenerational community to gather in building and landscape spaces and amenities that would achieve four goals:
- Provide Hmong community from the Southwest region a space they can preserve, celebrate and grow their traditions.
- Design a place that Hmong community can use for education, entertainment, and exercise and sustainable farming.
- Create a place that introduces Hmong culture and art to the public and promotes youth awareness of Hmong culture, tradition and history.
- Create a place that invites use of amenities by other Southwest Communities and becomes a place of cross-cultural interaction.
